We were honored to have the opportunity to design a facility that would help develop young tennis players and provide a place where they may train, practice and compete. The center’s 18 lit courts provides ample opportunity for everyone to get in on some healthy fun. The Tennis Center is a key amenity for the NISD community.

Built on tradition, Tuloso-Midway has a storied history dating back to the mid-1900s.  With the help of the community, as well as their trust, we designed a beautiful, contemporary performing arts center as an addition to their existing high school.

Strategically positioned on campus, the performing arts center provides an updated look and feel for the entire facility. The lobby serves as a pre-function gallery and gathering space, proudly displaying a grand mural showcasing the District’s rich history.

It’s early morning and the neighborhood streets are filled with students and parents making their way to school. Yes, a new day of learning is upon the students of Murnin Elementary. The school bell rings and students find themselves in a pleasant classroom setting with state-of-the-art technology at their fingertips along with multiple campus amenities such as a library, air-conditioned gymnasium, and cafetorium. Nestled in a community-friendly neighborhood, the home of the Murnin Mariners welcomes hundreds of K-5th students each school day. Being a part of delivering a facility that students, faculty and community is proud of gives us great pleasure.

That is what the Judson Early College Academy provides high school students attending this collegiate preparatory high school.  We partnered with Judson to help them create a program to motivate students in a college campus environment.  In association with the Alamo Community College District, JECA offers students an opportunity to simultaneously earn both their high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree.

Balancing the need for freedom to explore opportunities with a program designed to challenge, students enjoy a smaller, concentrated learning environment centered on a commons, science labs, and educational classrooms intended to drive student success.

Renowned worldwide, the King Ranch embodies the rich heritage of Texas. When we were asked to help design a new school for their students, we knew attention to detail was paramount. The “Running W” above the main entry façade proudly showcases the indisputable brand of the American ranching industry.

In the interior, we carefully crafted traditional details and incorporated historic photography throughout, reflecting the King Ranch’s rich history. The students of Santa Gertrudis school are able to reflect on the significance of the past all while aspiring to achieve great things in the future.

The only thing more difficult than keeping up with 3,000 high schoolers is figuring out how to build them a new school on their existing campus. It wasn’t easy to squeeze over 400,000 square feet onto an existing site with a functioning campus. Our key to success? Thoughtful planning and close coordination with our client.

Emerging from a collection of several buildings dating as far back as the 1950s, the new high school reunites everyone under one roof with shared amenities for all. Agricultural, automotive, health and dental programs complement core curriculum providing many pathways to student success.

A certain tension in the air. A sense of anticipation. Cheers. Nobody was more excited than we were to have the opportunity to modernize an aging venue. Our first site visit to the stadium revealed inaccessible, undersized amenities and aging wood plank bleachers. Though the stadium had seen better days, Judson’s athletic program continues to take top rankings.

After listening to the community, we developed a plan for a long-overdue renovation. New sports lights, multi-story press box, concessions, ticket booths, and plenty of restrooms make this the place to be Friday nights in Converse.

In 1987 Pope John Paul II visited San Antonio attracting 350,000+ people and held a Papal Mass on a 75-acre site located at Westover Hills. More than two decades later this same site became home to one of Northside ISDs newest high schools. There was nothing more fitting than having John Paul Stevens as the school’s namesake. Appointed in 1975, Justice Stevens has served on the Supreme Court for decades being a part of many landmark decisions.

Today, Stevens High School stands proud and continues to promote a positive learning experience for all students by establishing fulfilling relationships and engaging opportunities.
